What a privilege to be a part of 2012 Prayer drive!
Many thought it was hard and I may not survive;
I know, with God’s help I can do all things;
All the way through He kept us all safe under His wings.
(Philippians 4:13, Psalm 17:8, Psalm91:4)
“Who would stand in the gap?” was the Father’s call;
“Here we are”, we said though the order was tall:
Nothing would stop us and we took it with a stride;
Peace, joy, and the blessings we received, how can we hide.
(Ezekiel 22:30, Job 38:35, Isaiah 55:12)
Wherever we went we were well received and nicely treated;
Satan couldn’t make a dent on this trip and his plans were defeated:
One who said He would lead us, surly led us;
With so many drivers on hand, the drive was not at all a stress.
(Hebrews 13:5, 1 Corinthians 15:57)
Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia just rolled on;
Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas just came and were gone:
Oklahoma, New Mexico and Arizona were soon behind our back,
From Phoenix to California and till the end, there was truly no lack.
(2 Corinthians 8:15)
Mornings were a bit slow to get up and make the move;
Once Corporal Stan finished the drill, we were on the right groove:
General Suresh gave the battle orders and we were ready;
To roll on, sing, pray and bless the nation and our course became steady.
(Genesis 22:18)
From 45 to 85 mph, on the road we left a trail of prayer in the air;
Food and water, bed and breakfast, we all did share;
All the way we admired God’s creation and none became sick;
All the way till the end we felt the covering of His Glory to be thick.
( Habakkuk 3:3)
“Who would stand before me?” the good Lord called;
The battle field was quite large and heavily walled:
With no hesitation we were ready for the battle;
No weapon formed against us did prosper nor had us rattle.
(Ezekiel 44:15, Numbers 13:28, Isaiah 54:17)
Abraham, the father of faith, for other’s sake did beg and plead;
Though an angry man, Moses never failed to intercede and lead:
Hezekiah begged the Lord to stop the oncoming slaughter;
Esther risked her life to intercede even without drinking water.
(Genesis 18:32, Exodus 32:32, 2 Kings 19:14-19, Esther 4:15-16)
We learned a great lesson from these awesome examples;
Under our feet shall be lion and serpent, Satan we shall trample:
The great commission is to go and teach all the nations;
It requires will, intercession, and lots of patience.
(Psalm 91:13, Matthew 28:19, Hebrews 10:36)
He has redeemed our lives and pleaded for our case;
He knows us by name and in His sight we have found grace:
The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few;
Like our Lord, kneel down and intercede, No one can do it but YOU!
(Lamentations 3:58, Exodus 33:17, Matthew 9:37, Luke 22:41)
